... as the locals call it, is an open air opera theater that is actually built inside the shell of an actual Romanesque styled colosseum that dates back to 30AD. That’s not a misprint, I didn’t mean 300 I meant 30! The books say it is the most well preserved ancient ruin in the world! We paid the $10 admission fee to go in and look around and it felt like we were on the floor of the much more famous Roman Colosseum, looking up at the stands. All we needed was ...

... looking the lake and back down, and down and round and down!!!!! Taking in stunning views, a walk to a hermitage retreat and monestery and a beautiful Romanesque church. Now seems as good a time as any to reveal that ...

... in Verona, see Juliet's (or Giuletta's as they say here) house. Now having seen Letters to Juliet many times, hey I like a chick flick every now and then, I figured that was going to be about the extent of the sites to see in Verona, which was fine since we are scheduled for only one night here. Wow, I could not have been more wrong.

We did see Juliet's house and it was as you might imagine, its in a a nice courtyard surrounded by ...

Up early & on way to Innsbruck. Passing thru Verona Italy...home of Romeo & Juliet. Passing thru Bolzano Italy. We are told the Otzi the Ice Man is here on display....man found all intact in 1991. He is 5000 yr old. A dozen people who have handled him have all died. 'No one wants to have much to do with him now' :). So pretty going thru the Alps. Crossing border into Austria @ Brenner. Bye bye ...
