Well the reviews of Bethene McMillan's breakfasts at St. Catherine's B&B weren't wrong! GG had a full English breakfast and didn't eat again until about 5pm! I had the "Vegetarian" option complete with vegetarian sausages (no kidding and they weren't bad) and didn't need to eat for a similar amount of time.

We had decided to drive to Airdrie and catch a train to Glasgow today. Airdrie is where my father's family comes from and I was hoping to see ...

... something) Reading Room (I'll need a reminder, Louise!). In any case, we got to be in a section where we were enclosed in a kind of cage, and the table had a game of Hungry Hippos to play, which Xavier was entranced by. I wish we'd had a photo of the intense concentration on his face as he hammered away at the lever on his hippo. Aside from the food, a highlight for me was the music. Kim Wilde's "Cambodia" played!

Next stop, The Isle of Skye.

... Scottish pipes and guitar playing band. They were all quite young and play there the same night each week. Lots of old men in this pub- no young people! On Friday (11th), I did a Hairy Coo tour. It's a free guided bus tour and works on tips! Pretty sweet - I got to see Wallace monument, the Highlands, some of the Loch lakes, hairy coos!! and we stopped off at Doune Castle, where Monty Python and the Holy Grail was filmed. Online with mum again this morning, to see how is going. No news to tell, she went for a bone scan today and hadn't come back to the hospital when mum called Aunty Di. They did say that she has two haematomas in the same area from the fall she had in the hospital the other day. Not good at all and the infection hasn't improved much at all either. The Drs have told Aunty Di that Nan will not be going back to her own home again. This means ...
