        ... go visit the lighthouse for the port. It was fun because I had to hop an old fence and got to see all the boats coming and going. Also I helped a French family understand how to get up to where I was sitting. And while the women listened, the men decided it would be more fun to climb on cement boulders lol.         ... Christmas gifts. There are fun fairs and ice skating rinks appearing out of nowhere. The streets have lovely Christmas lights and other decorations and there are Pères Noels hanging from apartment windows. We had a lovely Edmiston Christmas lunch at the Salière restaurant on the port of Fontvielle in Monaco so Christmas is truly on the way.         ... moment when we are already one person short in the team with Oralia taking bereavement leave. I will just let things take their course. No doubt it will become clear at some point. I am very happy I came as it has been a wonderful experience and I have learned a lot. My French has improved and so have my accounting and computer skills. I can do a lot more on excel than I could before.

        ... a petrol station in the centre of town so I decided to go back out to one I knew of just on the outskirts. I was worried about running out but I made it in time.         On Wednesday morning there was a big storm. (Thank goodness it didn't happen when Tony & Jan were here). There was lots of thunder, rain and wind which was blowing down branches and leaves. The train, of course, was late. I can't count the number of times I run to get it, only to find it is late.
