... the bank.......when suitably satisfied (ie, one go each) it was onto the proper abseil.
The first abseil was down a bank and over the edge to a vertical wall that finished in the river below........the first bit was ok but heading over the edge was abit nerve-wrecking, however, we completed it and had an enforced swim in the river to await the rest of the group on the rocks below the 'washing machine' waterfall.
Surprisingly, after only one proper abseil we ...

... itself was less than appealing on the eye, the cuisine was in fact quite tasty. The drivers engaged in light, friendly banter with us and the lady who owned the restaurant, a mammy-like figure, began plaiting our hair. ... to sell my motorbike while here in Dalat. I met a girl here that had wounds on her legs, arms and face from a incident with a truck. The landscape is stunning, but I'll be bussing it from here on out. It's just not worth it. Plus, it's hard enough sitting on a bike for 6-7 hours at a time. My journey from Dalat to Hoi An will take 20.

Tomorrow, I head north once more.

    Keep smiling,

Yesterday (8th June) there was no blog, as not much really happened! We went to the beach for a bit in the morning, and read for a while. And then caught our bus to Dalat - not very exciting, and both of us were keen to just get the bus journey out of the way. On to today's blog, 9th June: The bus journey turned out to be better than we had feared. We had allocated sleeper seats right at the back of the bus, which actually meant considerably more leg room. The ...

... buses stopped for a break. There wasn't much food available so my food for today would be a can of coke and some Pringles. As I walked outside to join Mark it felt like everyone was looking at me so I eventually said hello. One of them looked like he was a monk and spoke a bit of English and asked where I was from etc. Many of the people knew few words and said things like 'you're beautiful'. At first j thought it might be some sort of theft tactic but it ...
