... br> Bern is built on the cliff edge banks of a wonderful wide river and many bridges have been built high above the river from cliff top to cliff top. Of course we crossed these bridges a few times and got some magnificent photos as we went.

Finally its back off the main system and back up into our little quiet street to park up.

As this little steam tram was making a 2nd trip along the historic streets I decided to head as quickly as possible to the main street ...

... awake when she arrived home.

This morning, the kindness, generosity, and thoughtfulness continued with Tino and Mo making us coffee and putting out some food for breakfast. Then Arron and Tino drove us to the train station and helped us carry our bags. Our experience with Tino and Mo was awesome. They certainly "paid it forward" and made sure we were well taken care of. They showed us what Couchsurfing can be and what it's all about. We had a great time with them and now ...

... like "Yeah! Let's do go karting instead." My godbrother was quick to shut that idea down when he said that it costs an arm and a leg for only a short ride. So we carried on driving and found another alley, which was open to our delight. We played two games, but our lane was wonkey so I got quite frustrated which just made my playing even worse. It got so bad that Leandra, the on who had no idea about bowling and literally threw the ball onto the gutter managed to beat me! ...

      Day 8 Bern, Switzerland

Bern is the capital city of Switzerland and has a population of around 138,000, making it the fifth most populous city in Switzerland. In 1983 the old town (Altstadt) of Bern was declared a UNESCO world heritage site, and Bern is ranked among the worlds top ten cities for quality of life. Bern is my personal favourite when it comes to the cities of Switzerland. It has wonderful character and the old city is quite magnificent with stunning views from the Rose Garden on the opposite ...
