... a very colourful and peaceful place, with great views over the city of Bern. While there were not many roses in bloom, there was an amazing array of Rhododendrums to compensate and a great pond with thousands of tadpoles swimming around the water lilies.

The Botanical Gardens was next on our list, while not expansive they were very well done. There are displays of herbs, plants from all regions of Switzerland as you would expect and a ...

... the technology in Switzerland as as soon as he heard Patrick and I were from NZ he started a small sales pitch.

  • Afterwards we headed to a lookout on one of the hills. It was really busy and the road up was narrow. It was only really wide enough for one car and we had to pull over to let people pass coming the other way.

Once the tram departed I took a walk around this wonderful city. It was extremely busy with people and getting a photo without someone walking right in front of your camera was difficult.

The streets of Bern as I said above are full ...

Our final Swiss destination for this trip was Bern. The train rides to get here offered breathtaking views, but we had a bit of a scary moment while transferring from one train to the next. We departed from one train in Interlaken and were in a rush to get to the next platform for our final train of the journey. I noticed Jason didn't have the bag with our technology (iPad, laptop, phones, etc.). As I began to say something to Jason, he didn't even wait for me to finish my sentence ...
