... They had two horses and lots of cows and calves, as well as a cat whose name means thief in German who always turned up when we were eating! One calf was only a day old and had been rejected by its mother. It was so cute. Her name was Barbara, they name all the calves after the guests that are staying there at the time! Natalie served fresh hot croissants and homemade jams for breakfast every monring.

Susan said her Dad can hear if the cows are sick during the night with a 'cough' and will get up and give them their 'cough medicine', now that's dedication to your herd! After a short train journey we arrived at Thun and walked a short distance and boarded our diesel powered lake ship to Interlaken. As we sat here on deck and waited to leave the pier the sun was beating down and it was simply just getting too hot. Many passengers soon decided to take shelter and sit inside the wonderful restaurant and enjoy a cold drink.
