Our second home exchange was in southern Bavaria about 125 kilometres from Munich for 2 weeks. Penny joined us in a large house set in an equally large wooded garden. Pfarrkirchen and other towns in the region are really nice, Passau being my favourite. The buildings are mostly painted pastel colours.

We all traipsed out of the bus to get a photo and some of those keen travellers sang "I Am 16 Going on 17" Also in this location is the avenue of trees where Maria and the children rode bikes (from memory, that avenue was located beside the river in the movie, not the case in reality). We also ...

... digital cameras are great. The duds don't cost money unlike the film system of old!

The return ride down the mountain was enjoyed by all arriving safely I the square. Time had got away on us, so we decided not to do the Miniature Train Tour. Back to the hotel to pack and on the bike path by 11 am.

We crossed the river adjacent to the hotel and made our way to the Northern Bike Path. It started off a bit rough ...
