After I had been told we needed to make reservations for dinner, we arrived at the hotel's restaurant. We were greeted by a very funny older elegant waiter who brought us the menu and he said, "we don't have menus in English but just go ahead and try to figure it out. Have fun with it!" He then rushed off. Once he came back to take our ...

It made ordering much easier! Especially when she asked for English menus for us. We spent the rest of the evening talking and drinking. It was a lot of fun and a night to remember. The Hague was a lot more than we expected and we both wished we had spent more time here.

... what they were called, but they were kind of like flat cinnamon rolls. Again, seriously tasty stuff. Rolinka said that Sjaak and Liesbeth (and their son Frank) were more excited to have us than we were to be there. I can't imagine why. Think of inviting a horde of 26 American strangers into your home and then feeding them!

After lunch, we went to the beach, but only for 10 minutes. The tide was out, so the beach was huge. It would've taken a full minute ...
