    ... The aeroplane crash victims were remembered. The troops didn't carry flags in honour of them, and there was no music at the finish line. There were plenty of crowds though.

    The Via Gladioli was packed and, after getting my medal with a crown on top, I made my way back to Marianne and Rein's. By the time I had had my shower, Tino, Rick and GJ were there, so we made a swift exit back to see Hellen and Ivo, eat fried food and fruit salad in the garden.

    ... and were making drinks to order for walkers. I just had some water, and ate my snack, but it was a nice break. It was less hot that last year, but still warm.

    The hills undulated nicely, and a guy in a paraglider thing with a motor swooped overhead, only a few feet from our hats.

    ... half the walk planning what I would make my teenage son wear next year if he gets a place. He missed out on a ticket this year as the walk was nearly 8000 people oversubscribed. I settled on shiny pink lycra cycle shorts and a bow tie.

    November 22 Today I woke up early and decided I'd give the bike a rest aka my bottom was a little bruised from the previous days. I walked for about 20 minutes and stumbled across a rather interesting site. I big park enclosure with many different animals even a little Kangaroo!!     Nov.20 The next morning I woke up early had some toast and tea with Marie-Jose and then took the push bike to the train station where I got on the train to meet Elvina.
