Been very busy last couple of days - just had time to catch up and I am a few days behind. We drove up to the local car ferry in Trezzamo The ferry was quick, we drove on and sat on the top deck for 10 minutes. ... shown a VW Touran. It has enough room for seven passengers, but no room at all for luggage. I suppose we'll manage somehow or other.
My original idea is, once we have picked up our vehicle, to drive into central Milan and visit the Duomo and other points of interest. We would then return to the airport later in the afternoon to pick up the Barroso/Crossland family which will be accompanying us during our stay, and are arriving at 5:10pm on Air Europa.
Today, we moved on to Milan, the final overnight city in Italy on our tour, apart of course for the day trip to Caravaggio and Cremona. The day started well with an excellent breakfast in Parma, a short taxi to the train station, and then 90 minutes or so to Milan. And then the problems started...
