Saturday is Rugby at the Duke of Oz pub in Leiden. As the family were away Carlo drove me there. Carlo came to visit NZ last year for three months and stayed with me in between his travels. He purchased a car in Orewa and drove everywhere and did everything . He will bring his photos for me to view this week. It was an enjoyable match . About 20 there as it was 9.30am. We were served croissants at half time to go with our coffee. The Aussies were quiet . ...
I swam in the sea on the last day wearing shoes as it was sooooo rocky and I couldn't stand up otherwise . I have a photo on my phone but don't know how to transfer it . It has been wet and very windy here and cold. Off on another adventure tomorrow to LONDON where I will stay with Jessie (oldest granddaughter ) and Guy. ... none of us had ever seen before. It was definitely an interesting experience. We went to bed early after dinner at a place called The Bulldog.
The next morning we woke up early (again) for our flight back to Rome. When we got to Rome we had to take a train to Rome Termini (which is a main station) and then finally a train to Firenze. We were so happy with our spring break, but also EXTREMELY happy to be back in Florence.
