    Day 5 Xanten to Düsseldorf

A travel blog entry by tandemtales on Jul 01, 2015

... 38 in a few days... We took a couple hours rest between 1 and 3 as it was too hot to cycle, we had lunch outside curtesy of another lidl we found and then had iced coffee in Starbucks to borrow their wifi. There were water fountains which children were playing in and Simon the only 'adult' also was having a splash. On Saturday we biked into Winterswijk and went to the market. It was so amazing. I love markets, and truly wonder why we do not have them in Canada, because seriously we are missing out. We had so much wandering through the different booths. We tried an olliebollen, soo good! It tastes very different from the ones we make at ...

Working on an organic farm! What an amazing experience. The last week had been great, learning soo much about permaculture and organic farming. Rachel and I got here on Saturday afternoon, we got to look around the farm and settle in. Then we got to relax for the weekend, which was really nice, it is so peaceful here. We took the bikes to the town of Winterswijk, which is about four kilometers away, and explored the town. On Monday the work started in ...
