We grabbed some food and I picked up a bottle of Jim Beam in duty free for Donna and Justin who I would be staying with. She gave me plenty of tips on Perth, how to get around, where to stay and loads of other ...

... and shopping. We got our first snow on December 27 and it’s been super cold lately (like 9F on New Year’s Eve) but we still managed to make it to the lantern release event down at the cathedral. See the video I posted. It was gorgeous. I got kind of choked up when they played the Hawaiian version of Over the Rainbow. Both kids are out of school so they are in a heady daze of sleeping until noon and playing too many video games. AKA: heaven on earth.
