... and see if there was anyone milling around the bars that he'd been drinking in towards the end of the night. One of the cleaners actually told him to come back at 3am, it's a totally different night life on the island!

I woke, put on my swimmers, tied a sarong around my hips and prepared for a relaxing day on the island doing sweet eff all! I headed to the bar for a refreshing breakfast of fruit salad, yoghurt and honey and inhaled a much needed bottle ...

... the perfect location, half way between the town square and the beach and walking distance to both. It turns out that we just missed the tourist season and apparently most of Ios shuts down for the off season. Ios is a ghost town now, but we can imagine what the party would be like during the high season. I guess our trip to Ios won’t be quite as legendary as most peoples. We had our first gyros for lunch today ...

Day 19 Paris to Athens to Santorini

Only slept 45mins!! Went to bed at 4.05am and had to get up at 4.45am. Left Breda a nite thanking her for coming and gave her a bottle of rum I picked up in Lanzaroti. Got ripped off by taxi to airport, EUR76.00 so annoyed as only supposed to cost around EUR50. I don't like Charles deguell airport too big and not organised well. You check yourself in and get your bags dropped off. They don't seem too ************ the weight restrictions. Which was good for me. ...
