... around 6pm, unfortunately as we arrived Tirso got called back into work, so me Sarah and Mary headed out for dinner just the three of us. We went to Flanagan's, this was a real favourite old haunt of mine from my last trip to Miami. It's all ribs and burgers! The best ribs I've ever eaten. Sarah got an enormous burger! We had a lovely night catching up with Mary, and she even insisted on treating us to dinner! With that our first stint in the states was done! Peru up ...

American mobile phone companies cannot do business there so our phones don’t work. Phone cards purchased in the USA don’t work but local cards are available for use at pay phones at a rate of $2.05 per minute for calls back to the U.S. And, of course, it ...

Monica and Marcelo told us we had to be ready to walk out of the front door at 11am on Sunday. We woke up to Marcelo cooking breakfast, visited for a bit then got ready to go. All we were told was we should bring sunscreen and cameras. What we did not know was we were headed to the Everglades for a private boat tour.

We were lucky enough to see five alligators - three of the names made ...
