... a brown rabbit the size of a dog and rather cute. After lunch we went on a horse ride which Vikki couldn't stop laughing throughout and was a lot of fun. This was followed later in the evening with a night drive to try and spot a jaguar! Unfortunately we didn't have much luck but got to see a huge lake full of Cayman that you could see all there red eyes reflected in the spotlight we where using to find animals. The next day ...

      More bus travelling

When we arrived in Curitiba we booked a bus going to Foz arriving at 5 am in the morning, giving us just 3 hours to cross the border into Argentina, find the airport and check into our flight.

Again, it wasn't an exciting day and means that it is one more night of wintery uncomfortableness before I actually get back to a city that I know and love

... lives just a few doors down from James, the ultra-popular bar where he is a resident DJ. It was clear I was in for some great partying over the coming days and it got underway with no further ado. James (named after the Manchester band of the same name) had undergone another expansion since my previous visit and has become the place to be for the young and also the not so straight. Quite a contrast to the small bar I had first visited with a soundtrack of indie ...

... with just a fitted sheet and a pillow) and got suited up for some swimming. After finding out that tarantulas swim and like to join gringos in the river I was well and truly planted on the deck, getting some rays. You could not pay me to get in the water with those huge hairy black disgusting creatures that are clearly confused as to whether they're an insect or a fish. We went on a boat tour (which felt like Jurrasic Park but was tamer than Teletubbies) and spotted ...
