    We hadn't totally decided what to do with this day, so talked about a few options in the morning. Plan was to catch Big Red Bus do water cruise, visit Maktoom house and a couple of other museums, then take Red Bus to beach where I might have had a swim, Red Bus to Palm Island, then off to Burj Khalifa which is the highest building in the world for which we had tickets at 6.     A Day at the Beach

    Hard to believe we have been here for a week!! The air is clearing after several days of sand storm and the temperature is rising. It has been very pleasant here, low 20sC most days with cool evenings. We have been sitting out by the fire and there are no blackflies or mosquitos.
