... the afternoon with meeting Kanoo Travel, one of the key TMC (Travel Management Company) in the region which was extremely helpful since I would be working in one within a few months. They also hosted an Indian lunch for us which was a burst of flavours in my mouth and an experience in itself.

Getting back to the hotel with saggy eyes, I did not expect such energy coming from our next guest. Jo Lloyd picked up the pace with her ...

... open green space with millions to do on a waterfront location. What a great place! After a shot in the play area Rowan spotted electric F1 style cars. Rowan and I raced Arnaud and Elodie round, and of course we won! After that we walked by the waterfront and spotted some camels. At first I thought we'd just go and look at the camels, but before I knew it all 4 of us were strapped on and ready to go for a ride! ...

... at. First of all this was in fact the hotel that could claim to be the most expensive the Dubai and the Middle East, with the cheapest room starting at close to $1,000 USD per night. To top it off that room is only about 300 square feet and doesn’t really have that great of a view (according to our guide). ... bar-side vantage point. But watching the fireworks of Atlantis explode over the Palm with my girlfriend who miraculously put up with me on the other side of the world for 7 days, provided a fitting footnote to a year full of truly unforgettable memories with all of the people who have supported me on this adventure. And with afternoon drinks at Atlantis watching the sun set over our New Year's Eve beach, we welcomed 2015 and its adventures for good. ...

... less than a quarter of it? Insanely big, but then again everything in Dubai is insanely big!

I've seen the docos on TV about Dubai, but it's just incredible to see just how many massive buildings there are. Build it and they will come!!

Everyone is very polite, no one seems to be in a massive hurry, but at the same time it's not slow either.

Tomorrow I think we will kick back and relax in the hotel pool - it's just amazing. Everything here is amazing!
