    ... Sydney. Then various passes in the Australian Alps and another famous road called The Great Ocean Road which runs along the south coast from Melbourne towards the South Australian border. All this on the way down or on the return journey. For those interested in motorcycles: I now ride a BMW R1200RT. Towards the end of the trip I will do an appraisal of this machine.

    ... we would see the sunrise but by the time we took off at 6am, it was way pass dawn. But nevertheless, the views were a sight to behold. I felt a sense of calm and peace (scary at first because we were so high up) as we watch the world go by below and I wished we could have stayed up there longer.     ... I've received some more feeling on the steering wheel with no under steer. I also got the 60km service completed by nissan with no dramas and a couple of cosmetic issues fixed under warranty. It's now ready for the trip. I did a major evaluation of the merits of the rear storage box. I removed it as the box itself is very heavy and I don't use it to store much gear.     ... in the boat both on land and sea. Best of both worlds! Just looked strange reversing a boat into a caravan site. Anyway, said goodbye to our new friends, as well as John, the cheeky Manager of Nobby Beach Holiday Village. We can strongly recommend this Park to anyone travelling up this way.     ... was available at Andreson's in Beaudesert. Yes the place Chris told us to try for vinyl to begin with.

    And...a 'win'. On the way home we stopped at a Jimboomba café for lunch - ie a treat. A lady stepped from the inside area to the outside dining area, past us.
