My plan was to reach Athens, spend some time seeing the big stuff (Acropolis, etc) then retire to Piraeus (Athens' main port) and get a room; my ferry to Naxos was booked ...

... not going to stop there. One other food counter was spied, so we grabbed two burgers, two salads, and a ham and cheese sandwhich. Quickly wolfed it down, saying "well this was eatable .... But certainly not good". We proceeded to our gate.... This time the departure area was no where near as full, and much more comfortable to wait until we boarded the aircraft.
