This morning I begin my 20 plus hour journey to the Solomon Islands. This is a part of a museum exchange programme between the Museums Association of the Caribbean (MAC) and the Pacific Islands Museum Association (PIMA). ... to go into to Bridgetown to pick up an Ipad for Ralph's upcoming 88th birthday. We decided it would be fun to accompany Judy on the errand, as well as follow her into Bridgetown. It's virtually impossible to get around anywhere directly, so this was our opportunity to ease into B-town and see the few sites we had read about there. 3rd February 2011 - yes, it was time once again to leave the cold, grey, miserable British weather and gallivant off to sunnier climes. This time, we were due to join the Fred Olsen vessel MS Braemar in Bridgetown, Barbados to sail south to the mighty waters of the great Amazon River.

It was storming and raining today, so I stayed in and watched t.v. with dad mostly. Althought tonight, there was a beautiful sunset, so I took some pictures of it over the ocean which are below. However, the pictures really just don't do this beautiful place justice! It didn't quite capture the purples and the pinks that I saw!
