This morning I begin my 20 plus hour journey to the Solomon Islands. This is a part of a museum exchange programme between the Museums Association of the Caribbean (MAC) and the Pacific Islands Museum Association (PIMA). The exchange is supposed to last 7 weeks, but this blog will not look at the details of the exchange, but rather give a inside view of the island, its people and my experiences while I am here in the Solomon Islands.

... and splashed us all in fright as he took off at lightenng speed. They are amazing as they weave back and forth across the bows and roll over to look at us talking to them. You can even hear their high pitched squeaks as they try to communicate with us.
