... crew. It was definitely our rowdiest group of kids so far, but once we actually got into the show, they settled down and really enjoyed it. At this point, we haven't had a day off in almost 2 weeks, and we're just looking forward to the weekend.

... than driving. We only went 23 miles in 2 hours, but it was still a nice change of pace and scenery. We were watching dolphins jump and follow the boat on the first ferry. On the second one we decided to catch a few Z's. Pretty sure we haven't taken an afternoon nap since we left.

We were able to hang out in Ocracoke for a few hours before we boarded. It's pretty much a pirate happy island, every ...

where we gonna live??

Leigh and I went down to Wilmington for the next two days loking for a place to live for the next year. We looked all day around Kings Grant on Monday. After a long day of looking we retired around 5Pm and went to Daves place on Wrightsville Beach. Dave and I went for a surf on this crazy performance fishtail Purple Board. The water felt great, and I would guss its about 66 degrees. Dave came down to Carolina ...

Day 1: We started the day looking at old 70s style houses in Kings Grant. Saw quite a few roaches :) We found one house that seemed to be promising but the landlord would not go down on her price. After our somewhat successful days work was complete we played on Wrightsville with Dave for a couple hours. Later that night we ate at a wonderful ...

... storms and hurricanes. On the shore the north side of the cape - you find sand beach as far as one can see. Both Kure Beach and Carolina Beach have fishing piers that extend 400-500 ft out into the ocean. Kure Beach pier was open when we were there and we walked to the end for a great view of the shoreline. The ocean at this point appears to be fairly shallow with dangerous rip tides noted in many places. When we ...

Reaching the Right Coast

... to the narrow sand spit called the Outer Banks. Many of you may know the Outer Banks as a common landing point for hurricanes and tropical storms moving up the eastern seaboard. We were shocked and stunned at the amount of over development from Nags Head up to the town of Duck, where we were staying. Mega house upon mega house, each an arms length apart and strip mall after strip mall. It was a huge disappointment for us. We drove south to Cape Hatteras to see ...
