Dawn arose and we couldn't wait to escape the LaQuinta Kansas City. We have stayed at LaQuinta before, and they were all new and very nice. After a quick conversation about the massive gas bill we are accumulating on this RV (6-7 mpg) we thought about ways to just ditch it and fly home or rent a car and leave it in the nearest Wal Mart until we came back for it. Many creative ways were brought up on what to do with our stuff too!

... checked into the Broadmoor. Our room was in the penthouse (5th floor) of Broadmoor West. It was the largest room we've had so far with a nice view of the lake that is central to the resort property.
It didn't take long for the kids to hit the pool and the famed water slides. Canyon and I took a paddle boat on the lake (pictures below) and Canyon provided some interesting video of each water slide (also below).

Monday 6.09 am - Day 10 Right now we are on our way to a ghost-town in Voona not too far from our motel to catch it in the sunrise before we go back for breakfast. And yay, I feel alittle better!
