... the problem is, I would like to have the matter resolved and put this behind me. Today my new employer phoned to let me know that the release letter had arrived but they could not use it as is was more like a warning for people not to employ me as I was tardy, boring and spoke funny. I never had any complaints or reprimands from the school, so you can imagine my surprise when the letter arrived. Not only was the trip to Yinchuan costly but it has also proved to be futile ...

Finally I had a meeting with Mr Shen, the company partner in charge of the Hanzhou office to discuss my further relationship with the company and strategies for approaching Dutch clients.
I finished off the week by a trip to Shanghai right before my departure back home.

After seeing Mount Putuo, we headed on to Zhoushan and the Luting Grand Hotel. Concert number three followed shortly. It was not as cold as in Ningbo, but the audience was also not as engaged.
We left Yuhuan on Tuesday morning and began the 4 hour drive to Ningbo (宁波), arriving in the early afternoon at the Lao Huai Shu Hotel. We had lunch when we arrived and then we were given a bit of free time before we had to report for the concert. I took the opportunity to get out of the hotel and went for a walk along the Yuyao river (余姚江).
