There is only one thing on my mind today - Franki's 60th birthday. It is a huge milestone whatever she may say. How the hell can I be creative and treat her in this half horse town? ... 110km to our destination, we got there after a quick stop in Soppong on the way by the end of the afternoon. We had a couple of daylight hours left so we wasted no time and made our way to the village. The journey from Mae Sariang to Mae Hong Son is pretty smooth and uneventful. After the epic ride from Chiang Mai we were both eager to reach our destination with no detours and in daylight. The countryside views get more stunning as we climb deeper into the rural northern countryside. Around 3 hours later we pull into the pretty town of Mae Hong Son. First impressions are good.
