Blue skies, no clouds and three mosquito bites. What a way to wake up. But I would rather wake up to a mosquito bite than being bitten by a scorpion. We killed a second one last night. Not quite an animal you want to have closer contact with. Karsten made menemen for breakfast and we were indecisive what we wanted to do. First we ...

The Italians restored the Byzantines / Crusaders castle. He met here with the emperor off Japan. There are ...

... by both the quantity of goods for sale and the price (expensive) that is being charged for many items. Shops are full of merchandise and there are many, many shops. There is not a lot of variety in what is for sale. Some of the products, particularly clothing, appear to be recycled from year to year. Store hours in the tourist hours are very long.

... tour of the city. It definitely gives a good perspective on the size of the Medieval Town and the size of the city. The other islands we have visited have been very barren, with little vegetation. And they are sparsely populated. Rhodes is different, with various green spaces and a much larger population. It is more cosmopolitan and even has a casino.
