    ... dairy or meat is thrown out. Even if the food is still within the expiry date the food is thrown out. This really upset me - not sure why but I started to reflect on weather I would cruise again and support cruise companies to throw out so much food. However the manager of the food (very large Italian man) made some good points about food safety. I also learnt that majority of the food scraps each day is thrown into the ocean.
