    Well, the final leg of our holiday, the drive back home. We left Kirstens about 1120am and took a different route via Cambridge, because there was a flying display on at Duxford. Likely to be big queues. A bit slow around Cambridge but were soon moving well again on the A14. We hit the traffic jam at Swaffam, about 2 miles long. There was a market in the town but it was not holding ...

    ... the whole time and is exhausted. We are staying with Jackie and Peter Shaw who are Ron and Abi's friends who came over to stay with them last October so I became friends with them then. Their house is lovely and we all went out to dinner to their local Indian restaurant which was really yummy and then we just came home and relaxed. Tomorrow we will go the March meeting and then we will drive to Cambridge and then back to Croyden for a night then Paris on ...

    Still on a high from meeting our family it was nice just to sit down quietly and catch up with those who were available for lunch. We got the guided tour of Boston Town including of course best Pub, The Boston Stump which was unfortunately closed and Centenary where Carl & Kelly were married a year ago.

    Wow what a night!

    After facebooking an event to hopefully meet some of my British family for the first time we were utterly taken back by at 40-50+ strong turnout. Walking through the door to the Burton House Restaurant we were anxious, nervous and not sure what to expect then all of a sudden it was like the pages I see daily on facebook had come to life.

    It was fabulous to also see the Smith side of the family finally meet the Rowe side ...

    ... need binoculars to be certain that this was a Yellow-browed Warbler. It stayed for about 3 seconds and was then off through the trees as the flock decided to move on en masse.
