... The river is VERY busy. There is the long line of large tourist boats (often passing each other), smaller tourist boats, hundreds of the rafts ferrying tourists back and forth between the couple of villages along the way and the locals out doing their fishing and general day to day activities. We saw water buffalo, flocks of domestic ducks (not sure how they retrieve them when they want one for dinner) and quite a few cormorants (most of these have been ...

... system where we went mud bathing. This was amazing fun and we were all covered, literally head to toe, in thick mud. After splashing around a bit we could relax in natural hot springs... It was a hard day! We finished the day off with dinner, some hot cupping and then several rounds of beer. ... got a quiet walk around, we saw 2 month old pandas, 1 year old pandas, 2 year old pandas and lots of adult pandas, there were also lots of red pandas. It's really amazing to see how small they are when they are born compared with how big they grow as an adult, you could fit the newborn in the palm of your hand. After the trip we had our flight to Guilin, it was either fly or a 25 hour train journey which we didn't really fancy. We then got picked up ...

... the custard powder!!! All three dishes were delicious - I ate all of them and will definitely make them again at home!

After lunch we had less than an hour to try to get some money and do some shopping for our 22 hour train journey. We had tried to get some money this morning, but all the ATMs had rejected our cards - most people have had problems with money at some stage on this trip - this was just our turn! We went back to the bank ...
