The flight was smooth and for a 12 hour flight the time seemed to fly by (dam those puns).This may have been due to the excellent in-flight entertainment but more likely was due to the fact the plane was not full which meant we could sit two to a four person row, allowing lots of stretch out space.Arriving at Singapore was a breeze the immigration speedy and efficient and when we got to the baggage hall our bags were with us within a couple of minutes - quite unlike anything I have experience...

Last Day in New Zealand: David's friend Campbell and his expecting wife, Karen, (baby due in early April) were very generous hosts. After sleeping in until 10:30 am and relaxing around their home in the morning, we picked up lunch and drove along the harbor front to find a place to picnic. This is the first visit of mine off shore, with my sweet wife after our wedding....a memorable one. The moment we left the shores of chennai and to the time we landed on the homeland it was pure joy and happiness...wow what a trip. One thing i can tell about singapore is PERFECT...the city, people, life style, discipline.....everything. I loved shopping there, so did my wife heheh and went crazy with elec! goods..ooph.

Finally we arrived in singapore....after an 8 hour delay and major TYPHOONS hitting, we made it here. The flight was a bit scary with lots of turbulance. 3-day 2-night side trip to Singapore

After arrival in Singapore it was surprisingly quick through immigration as there was almost no queue and then bags weren't too long in coming either. Caught taxi to our hotel after finding ATM at airport which were at the far ends of the terminal.
