On Friday, August 8, we left Pueblo around 10.00AM heading to Golden to visit with my niece Keezie and her partner Pat. It was an easy drive of 127 miles and we arrived around 2:00PM having stopped for gas and lunch along the way.

We woke up this morning to find a blanket of snow over everything outside. So we had some breakfast and went outside in the snow, we even got to walk on the frozen river. Then we got ready to drive to Beaver Meadows Ranch. It was about an hours drive and we saw a lot of mountains along the way. We we got outside and it was FREEZING! So, we are staying in Golden, CO. Ate in historic downtown Golden and found a great restaurant, Indulge. Very inventive and delicious food. Found the restaurant on YELP! Got there for Happy Hour, and had small plates and glasses of wine! Photos are attached. And, of course, since we saw a block M on a nearby mountain, Dick had to take the photo.. probably for Colorado College of Mining.. but Dick is pretending that it might be ...

After 1.5 hours in Space Odyssey we managed to get him out and went upstairs to the kids Discovery Zone room which was awesome too. They had an interactive Tornado show, smell tests, real hissing beetles, dinosaur bone archaeological pit, giant puzzles, tunnels, magnets, and a construction zone. He was there another 1.5 hours.

... is also a children’s activity area. The historical complex on Lookout Mountain includes the Museum, Buffalo Bill's grave, and the Pahaska Tepee gift shop and snack bar. Today being a clear day the view was tremendous, you could see for miles.
After our visit to the grave site we drove down the numerous switchbacks of Lariat Rd., dodging dozens of suicidal bicyclists who, besides deer, are the biggest hazard. Watch. ...
