After a crammed hour-long bus ride in which I had to sit on the floor folded up as small as I could make myself (Emily enjoyed a seat…), we arrived in the small town of Phyang outside of Leh. In a vast ocean of desert mountains, it is a quiet and beautiful little green patch nestled between the peaks – driving in we admired how pretty it was.
