Op de rechteroever slaat de torenklok een keer vaker dan op de linkeroever: in Spanje is het een uur later.
Drie stukjes film: weer dolfijnen, de eerste die we in de Algarve tegen kwamen, blijft voor ons erg leuk, ik hoop voor jullie ook. Dit keer een wat grotere varieteit. Het tweede stukje film is uit de zoutwinning bij het plaatsje Tavira waar kluten, reigers en lepelaars fourageren. Het derde stukje film zijn wat beelden in en rond de Guadiana, de grensrivier.

... was our first choice for somewhere to appreciate said coastline, possibly as we'd been drinking the local brew for the last few weeks and it's noted for its 'end of world feel' (the town not the beer) and inaccessibility (again, the town not...). It was the inaccessibility combined with our lack of time and a gentle reminder that we were on holiday not travelling, that made our mind up for us and we were soon on a high speed tilting train ...

The next day to fill in time before departing we looked at the Chapel of Bones, which was built from the bones of the monks from the local cemetary. Over 1200 skulls. Definite goosebumps eh!

Looduspark koosneb 60km pikkusest laguunide kogumist, kus elavad mitmesugused linnud ja loomad. Kuna seal oli ukse peal silt, et töötajad on messil, siis võtsime endale voli ikkagi parki jalutama minna. Kokku läks u 1,5h. Radade juures on aeg-ajalt infotahvlid, kus seletatakse mingi looma, linnu või taime päritolu kohta. Mõnusa jalutuskäigu ja linnulaulu otsinguil soovitan sinna minna küll :)

Piknikukraami hankimiseks pidime tükk aega supermercadot otsima ning lõpuks leidsime meie mõistes säästumarketi. Lähim korralik pood asus ilmselt Faros (22 km).

Foiniiklased ja kreeklased seadsid Lagose jõesuudmes üles poe, mille Afonso III vallutas mauride käest tagasi 1241.a ning portugallased said jätkata siit Põhja-Aafrika moslemite ahistamist. Arrived back in Seville with enough time to sightsee all the bits we really wanted to. Plaza de Espagna, Plaza de Torro, and of-course the Catherdral of Seville. All worth seeing, but the catherdral especially, what a magnificant structure, and artwork to rival any museum or gallery. Ab Fab. Caught the last bus back to Tavira, met Ron and Mia at the cafe for a very welcome beer. Bought rotisseried chicken for dinner and slept the clock around.
