I'm just looking back on some of the fun moments of this trip through China. It has been a wonderful and exciting journey. It has been tough at times, for China can be an unforgiving country. It has also been sweet, innocent and an overwhelming feeling of home. The people I have met along the way on this, my 10th trip have been filled with humour, understanding and hospitality.

There is an art & design campus as well as a music campus located here - part of Xiamen University. I went in search of the art & design campus. Most impressive and welcoming.
Tonight, actually in 5 hours, I will be on an old style train on my way to Beijing. So this may be my last posting for a little while if the train has no WIFI.
Today the 9 hour train ride from Shanghai ended in the Taiwan Straight city of Xiamen, known as a romantic city on the sea. Indeed, after dropping my bags in a Home Inn that does welcome foreigners, I head to the Jimei school area in Xiamen, complete with a mini lake, dragon boats and pagodas for lovers to sit together and enjoy a warm evening.

... least bit bothered! The highlights of our flight to Xiamen - Mrs Bryce hoarded a dozen bananas and a Chinese man photobombed Kyle's selfie. As ever, we recieved a very warm welcome from our Xiamen hosts, and after feeding us we were taken on a shopping trip where our pupils got a chance to meet some of their Chinese counterparts.
