... was not sadly forthcoming. Rice, noodles, pork, chicken and eggs washed down with coffee and creamer. The Philippines has a reputation for the worst food in SE Asia. Deepfried or boiled meat with a sweet vinegar marinade and rice is the national staple. Breakfast was also bizarrely accompanied by Christmas jingles. ... any reason my fear all dissipated and when asked if I wanted to hold it I said yes with barely a thought to it. I walked up to it, touched its hard muscular body and warmth was not what I expected. Then the village boy put it on my shoulders and I was suddenly doing something I never thought possible, holding a snake. Loloy took pictures and suddenly my unprovocated longstanding fear had passed. We finished our day at an overlook park where I posed with a famous actress.
