... was, weet ik niet of ik het al het wachten wel waard vond. We zijn in totaal bijna 2 keer zo lang onderweg en aan het wachten geweest als dat we op het eiland rondgelopen hebben.

Om 15u moet het schip vertrekken maar kort voor vertrek worden een aantal namen afgeroepen. Dat gebeurt wel meer. Bij het van en aan boord gaan wordt van iedereen de cabine kaart gescand. Zo weten ze ten allen tijde wie wel en wie niet aan boord is. Wanneer er dan net ...

... in the full heat of the day, it was still warm and getting warmer by the time we reached the top, but this was all forgotten as soon as we entered the cave. At least 20 degrees cooler if not more, the cave descends to a small pool below and all the stalagtites and stalagmites glisten with moisture. ... up ( and I do mean up) to the cave opening, then down several hundred steps, then back up. The cave felt pretty good as it is almost as hot as Kansas here. We then did a city tour, and then back to the resort to swim and just enjoy the evening. Today we are doing something with sea turtles, learning Greek dances and getting a little beach time. ... later (all downhill mind you and what goes up must come down…) we found the Laundromat – it was closed until May. Oh great, so about turn and back up we go. So after a good hard walk for over an hour we achieved nothing. Pretty sure that Big Dora has never walked this in her life, but there are no hard feelings it’s Big Dora.

*SIGH* what an excellent nights sleep, a good 12 hours! The sun was shining and the sky was clear blue so it was straight into swimmers and down to the pool as we had missed brekky (oops!). The sun was HOT, it was so nice to be lying, relaxing and soaking it up. A volley ball match was arranged and we couldn't resist. Gary and I were on the same team – The All Blacks, go figure considering everyone else at the hotel ...
