      ... and the the first half of the Austral Highway in Chile. We had been enjoying moving along and maybe had gotten a little too confident. Anyway we chose to do a day trip from Puerto Tranquillo back South to Tortel. This took us a fair way South of Cockrane.       ... on Wednesday morning. Sunday night we arrived to rain and waited outside our arranged apartment for more than an hour. Latin time keeping!!!!!       ... malls. The centre reminded me more of a typical Brazilian city; busy, with lots of shops selling suspect goods (i got a Hollister t-shirt for 10 reals {about £3-£4}).
      The center has some nice parks with small craft markets and pretty grand cathedral. There is also a theatre, which apparently one of the best outside Sao Paulo city.
