Al was most impressed with the local sights here, there was a bevvy of beauties in Brazilian bikinis getting sun cream rubbed into their butts by their very enthusiastic boyfriends.       ... large amount of express kidnappings or muggings it isn't uncommon for ATM's to shut down at 930-10, in short, I was going nowhere!
      So, fresh in the morning after that fail, it was a day of proper tourist ****, up the Christ the redeemer and sugar loaf. Now, most hostels will try and sell you a tour which is fine if you are pressed for time, but they are do able yourself, and being the tight ass I am that's what I did.

      After a good breakfast in the hostel we took a van (after lots of queueing) to the top of Corcovaldo and ascended the stairs to Christ. Amazing views and the statue is immaculate, only thing was that it was very crowded with people. Could see more of Rio from the Corcovaldo than Sugar Loaf and the beaches stretch for miles!
