We left Hanoi early AM on the 22nd for an overnight trip to Ha Long bay, a stunning Unesco Heritage site, 3-4 hours east of Hanoi. The cruise between the islands was surreal and we enjoyed an excellent seafood lunch but we soon returned to shore as a precaution to the oncoming storm.
