    Grrrr!!!!

So a dash back to.... yep - 100 mtrs from our hotel! funny but not funny if you get what we mean.

The clock was ticking and to cut a long story short; we got our money back - well 50% of it but what we got back was enough to cover our flights.

He tried to sell me a ticket before getting on the bus, but I rejected and said I was going to get my ticket once on board. He didn't like that and said it wouldn't make a difference because he was the ticket controller on that bus. Anyway I got on the bus and asked the others what they paid and asked the guy selling the tickets if it was 50.000. He confirmed so I got my ticket. But then the other man came ...

... be the main attraction to the monument but to me they were. I spent hours photographing and admiring the interesting displays of history though these carvings. The main attraction of the Monas, I'm sure, would be the lift which takes you to the top of the tower. Unfortunately the lift was broken on my trip here so I couldn't go to top but I can imagine you would see stunning views of Jakarta's CBD from up there.

We left the Monas a few hours after arriving and was back ...
