We were both laughing at the fact that I thought she wouldn't remember the room number, and she actually didn't. But after three weeks of spending so much time together, you sort of understand a person. Plus, this side of her is pretty obvious. She forgets where she keeps her stuff, she forgets things in restaurants, she loses stuff, forgets the way back to the hotel, and ...

It was the first time we'd heard an orangutan mating call and it was a real awe inspiring, primal noise, enough to make the hairs on the back of your neck stick up. It was a nice was to say goodbye to our ...

Luckily amongst the chaos of Jakarta we did manage to find somewhere both cheap and unintimidating enough for us to stop for some lunch. It was our first real taste of Indonesian food and it didn’t disappoint! We basically had fried noodles and fried rice but the Indonesians have their own way of doing it and it was unlike anything I had tried before!

As we were keen to ...

... causing onlookers to shout a great deal. Traders sold anything and everything while kids rode around on electric cars or miniature pit bikes. Possibly the most memorable events were the total strangers approaching us and asking for photos. We'd read about this being a "thing" here, but couldn't quite understand what people in a cosmopolitan capital city like Jakarta could want with group photos with the two of us. After ...
