... but on the first night, my brand new fan woke me up making a noise like somebody was killing a baby! I managed to fix it with superglue, so now we've had an entire fortnight of quite nights which don't necesitate me having to clamber over the roof like an idiot in the middle of the night trying to find the trip switch for the AC, or having to turn my fan on and off to stop it making a noise.
