The day started well enough with a nice walk along the beach, lunch in a beachside restaurant over looking the harbour... After lunch a few more beers in a couple of different bars and it was late afternoon, Linda and Mandy returned with Tia to Herman for the night as Mark, Cani and I powered on into the evening at the Tapas Bar, Beers, Run&Cokes and Bottles of Wine all being consumed... Even the free Tapas they laid on the top ...
Well! It looks like my first semester in Spain has come to an end. I feel that in some ways I have been here for a long time, and at the same time that I have just arrived. ... the weather has been a bit unpredictable and has ranged from pouring rain for the entire day to glorious sunshine but we are happy to go with the flow and fit in a hike or bike ride as and when we can.

... nice part’ of Vilanova (the bit that we had read about on the internet etc), but unfortunately it had few redeeming features so we headed back home and clocked up about 8 miles!!
Needless to say we have decided to hit the road again in the hope of finding a more traditional, scenic part of Spain…..i’m sure it’s out there somewhere!!!

It was coming from outside a couple of stalls that had been set up and as we got closer we could see a group of people with bagpipes and drums and others eating, and drinking what looked liked cider. Now we both like cider and it turned out that this was being run by Asturians, the main cider producing region of Spain so we bought ourselves a bottle, watched the barman serve it properly ...
