... both in Cantonese and also in English. We had noticed this with road signs as well....they are identical to English road signs and are always written in both languages. Also....in Hong Kong they drive on OUR side of the road. Yay! It all stems back to when Hong Kong was a British colony....they have kept many of the things which link them to that time.

... maids spend their days off all sitting around together in the street, just eating, chatting, hanging out with their other maid friends. It's quite a sight because they're not necessarily sitting somewhere nice - the ones I saw were all sitting in a big group next to a bit of a skanky market.

... we manage to get a number 6 which takes us there. What a market!!! There are so many tiny shops selling all manner of things, silk pyjamas, reversible jackets, handbags, scarves, ties as well as the usual souvenirs. There are board games of all description, lots of art work. Watercolours while you wait, mainly names written/painted in Chinese letters. We had lunch (checked out the toilets before buying food ...

... coaster , it was really funny because at one point there was a bear ( not a real one ) and it was wiping it's bum against a switch that activated TNT .
Then suddenly there was a blow of wind and we went zooming forward , then you went up a really steep hill and suddenly the roller coaster stopped ; then you went wizzing backwards and then you went down a very steep hill ! IT WAS JUST SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!!
