... we had a Google. It's literally a clay plant pot that contains hot coals. And on top of this sits a clay bowl with broth in. You have the choice of what else goes in the bowl and cook it at the table in front of you. We ordered one the next day and added noodles, egg, loads of veg and chicken. ... going to try and go snorkeling on Thursday, but I'm not so sure if it'll work out. I just feel really stupid for not staying longer, but I know that I could never have known that I would learn to be comfortable traveling on my own on this trip. (If I had the chance I would probably stay an extra two days. Even if I left on Sunday instead of saturday I would be happier.) Anyway I'll stop complaining now! Some say it's to protect them from tiger bites, others say it is to distinguish them from other tribes and therefore keep the women in their tribes, others say it is to make the women less attractive to other tribes therefore preventing slavery - who knows the actual reason! ...

Travel day. We went from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai by bus. Found a hostel and looked for a place where we can book tours. At one of the travel agencies we met a Canadian men. He said good bye to his western way of living and came finally to Asia for living. He was now for 3 years living in Chiang Rai. We invited him to have some food with us. He brought us to one of his local Thai places. The funny thing of this place was that the food was just served ...
