Homestay day THREEEE

A travel blog entry by charlottec9 on Jul 16, 2015

... and had dinner. This was Danchai's free concert for his friends, so we Got to hear him and his band sing. They were all very good. But the group was beyond exhausted and wanted to leave. We had agreed To stay a bit longer and listen to him sing, but he managed to stay in the stage and not let us leave for another 45 minutes. The man whose house we are staying at can speak mandarin, and so can another volunteer, and he said that Danchai was slightly "psycho", which ...

Day 4

A travel blog entry by charlottec9 on Jul 09, 2015

Today was absolutely magnificent. After breakfast (in which I met new people, go me!), I took the van to this cute little school. I taught third graders animals, and they were so smart and funny. In the afternoon, I made more friends during lunch and actually ate lunch, which was magnificent. It was exhausting ...

A travel blog entry by voyager-sue on Apr 05, 2015

Trees have ghoulish faces growing long beards of grayish moss. The trees are plumeria, which have beautiful ...

... alot of elephants and went to a snake farm too. After lunch we were ready to trek. The trek was difficult eapecially in the heat. Alot of uphill walking. The views were amazing. We saw lots of fruit trees and flowers. Our guide used his sword to chop bamboo to make into sticks for us to help with walking. We took regular breaks but walked a total of 3 hours. So exhausting. We came to the village we were staying with locals. The village was so poor and ...

... rachel's buddy who he was and it was her boyfriend. so weird because he had nothing to do with BCNC or our farewell dinner. there were a lot of tears shed but i held my ground and did not shed any. I feel as if my relationship was not as strong as the others because my one never showed up and the other was really quiet. The part that made me the most upset was our cooking lady and instructor that takes us everywhere and out for lunch went up front and said ...
