... Today we woke and the others went to breakfast at Stephens for bagels. I was so so tired so I stayed and had a much needed sleep. ... that this trip would be about what I want, I’d already got what I want, by getting to go on the trip in the first place. What I really wanted was these 5 weeks to spend being inseparable from my best pal, my little man, aside from that any "grown up fun" would be bonus, we'd visit childrens museums and parks and I would savour the coffee and delicious food as much as the little guy would love chasing pigeons.

Today was a Central Park day. The day started with a visit to Wollman Rink where Hannah and I demonstrated our improved ice skating skills for Andy (thanks to our many visits to the Medibank Icehouse in Melbourne). I only stacked it once and may have a bruise on my butt cheek, but otherwise we came away unscathed. It is very different to skate on an outdoor rink.
