... sugar of any kind in the flat.

Tuesday - We skyped Darrens family then met up with the couple we were going to move in with. They are living further west about 24 miles in Eagle...we met them at loaded joe's then went for a walk with their dog to the park. The weather turned and we were in pretty hard rain so headed back...this place is even beautiful in the rain.

Wednesday - We skyped Darrens Nan ...

... Once we got home Darren spent a few hours sketching some cool pictures and I cooked dinner with the smallest piece of counter space ever!! It's going to be interesting preparing meals but I'm sure it'll be fun!!

Another evening of Criminal Minds...we think this will be how most of our nights are spent!!

We also found out that they have vacuums that we can borrow so that's another thing we can save money on!! YAY!

It was so lucky to reach the Rockies when the Aspen trees were wearing their golden colour. It does not happen for long so I enjoy my week there with Pickles and for few days with Theo before he flew back to London.
My french friends would say that the Rockies don't have the majesty of the french Alps but I love their softness and the fact that you can reach the summit within few hours but still can climb verticals ...

... I ask about chains. She tells us that it's "illegal in the US to put them on hire cars". We are very tired and give up and pay for an upgrade and go out and climb into a medium Jeep. It's got Sat Nav but it's basically one road all the way. No ice or snow on the roads as they have all been gritted so the original can would have been fine. We pass the resting place of Buffalo Bill. Check in and go to the room and have vegemite and cheese on toast before falling ...
