The awesome part was the climate, it varied so drastically and we enjoyed every moment of it. It was sunny, rainy,cloudy,windy.. all within hours. I just felt like how wonderful it would be if world stops at that particular moment when it was raining on beach. I almost forgot to mention.. on their way Firdos befriended a Canadian couple which made our gang to 10.

... definitely our last night that we would try to see the famed phosphorescent plankton everyone had told us about. Having seen it on Koh Rong in Cambodia we wanted to know if it looked any different in Gokarna. Unfortunately we'll never know, we didn't see any. Granted, the room was a bit of a prison cell: concrete everything with iron bars in place of a window, which looked over a dark narrow basement walkway. It was all good though because we only slept there, and spent all our waking hours out and about.

Kudle beach was a welcome change of pace. Our daily ...

... left.On returning to the bike it started first time - I was amazed but afraid to get ahead of myself and rightly so. 3km along the small road back into town the bike cut out, would not restart and was omitting a burning smell. I left the bike and walked into town to find a mechanic who told me he could not see it until about 4pm as he was busy - I think he saw the utter sadness on my face and quickly said to wait 20mins and he would be with ...
