... if I was sure I wanted to leave the hotel. I was warm enough but snow was getting in my face and eyes which was annoying. I got out the umbrella and blame this for making me miss the turn off to Maitlands hotel which should've been a five min walk but turned into fifteen at least. We managed to find our way to the Conrad Hotel, eventually. We were able to book a room there for two nights, thanks to our points in their loyalty program!
The room offers a gorgeous view over the city, once you manage to operate the electronic window curtain ��
And the toilets are truly for the tech-savvy... Ever had a heated toilet seat ...
... I basically had the place to myself. I sat and watched the world go by keeping an eye out for the local wildlife. The area was absolutely vast so I couldn't walk the whole way, due to my throbbing legs, but managed to see everything that I wanted to. After handing back my token I hit the streets of Tokyo again and made my way to the district of Akihabara. I had wanted to get there at night to see the lights in all of their glory, but had to settle for getting there ...

Anyway, we then head off to explore more of Shibuya, a place which offers quite a few sights. It boasts about one of the busiest junctions in the world. ... bed and fell asleep. I didn't mean to, I just did. Luckily I was to tired to turn of the lights after brushing my teeth so at least I slept in darkness, but I did forget to say good night to the Matsumotos. I'm probably going to come home some kg lighter and then hibernate for a week. Then, full of motivation, I'll make a study and training schedule, become a hermit for a month and gradually level up to a semi-social being again while maintaining the schedule. ...
