Cobblestone streets, an extensive pedestrian zone through the old town, narrow laneways and charming houses all contribute to the appeal that Hameln exudes. Statues are a common feature, generally adding substance to the Pied Piper story. Having heard the tale again, decided that we wouldn't buy it for Emma and Sam.

    ... it was the Liege station. Fortunately, I was not lost. I printed my Koln ticket and relaxed in a cafe. This morning was very stressful and I am glad it is over! The train ride was really fast and only took an hour as I mainly read and tried not to fall asleep! When I arrived in the station, I immediately knew I was in Germany.
