... that were really remote. Then at lunch they bought out the wine and it all went downhill from there. We ended up meeting this couple from Brighton uni who were really fun and getting a bit rowdy with our noodles. Oh and I learnt to jump and dive off the boat woo. The open air cinema was pretty cool. We saw the terminator which was lol, I wouldn't recommend but it was a cool thing to do. They had little stone tables and the chairs were cute so yeah it was nice. All the food has been ...

    The final bit

... with us. On the way to Parikia, G, P, and I discussed a bit of Science (basically for the first time) and half an hour later, we reached the port. The rest was business, refilling the tanks, going through the check lists, unloading the boat, and paying for the two horse shoe life buoys we had lost in the rough sea. With that plan, we got going again around 5:30 pm. We had just reached the rocks forming the western edge of the island when we suddenly heard an abrupt noise and the ...

This was the day we discovered that our boat carries internal secrets that we should have been aware of from the start. Apparently, a boat that has served weekly varying wannabe captains for 7 years in a row is an old tub. The first problem is the chain of our anchor, which cracks out of its guideway reliably each time we drop the heavy weight. The suggested and somewhat accident-prone solution is to step on the chain while letting ...

Last days with Ron and Linda - Anixis BBQ!

After several days of extending their stay on Paros and then returning for a few days more, it was finally time for Ron and Linda to leave Paros for good this time.

Ron and Linda took us to Anemos Milos for one of their last nights and then on their last night, Mr. Kosta the proprietor of our hotel, made a huge BBQ for us.

Mr. Kosta grilled pork shish kabobs and octopus, and he had ...
