Day 0 - And they're off....
... in the Kansas City area. Typically there are more surgeons and this mission is small in comparison to other missions. We also have 2 ER physicians, including Dr. Pam Ramsey, our medical director, an ophthalmologist and a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist ) who puts the patients to sleep, wakes them up and monitors their condition during the surgery.
