We were in Stuttgart this week for work, so we took a short trip to explore Ludwigsburg. It was a cold day and we stopped for second breakfast at Residenz Cafe which was a 5th generation family business. Outside the shop was a mobile bakery with loads of cakes and breads (brot). Afterwards we walked through the town and stopped by ...

I ordered the Currywurst (a sausage served with a curry-flavored ketchup) and she ordered the Frikadelle (a mixture of pork and beef with onion and spice—resembling a small hamburger). ... It's like I saw then yesterday. OMG I'm in Germany!!! Head onto a train, followed by another train, Georgia speaks the lingo, we're all good, then a wee walk up the hill and we're at Georgia and Edd's flat. They've recently moved in, the place is great all fresh and great furniture, looks mint. They've not been in Stuttgart too long, moving from Hamburg. Georgia has a day off today, she's back at work tomorrow, 11am start, then we'll go see her show ...

36 hours: final, pack, fly away forever

... now there's a man who dares to dream!

I have decided I would like to live the remainder of my life on a Lufthansa flight. The 6 1/2 hours I spent on the plane from BOS to FRA was pure bliss: two five-star meals, The Hobbit (Peter Jackson has done it again!), trashy TV, plus constant refills of water, juice, soda, wine (which I definitely did not have) and even baileys (which I won't even try to pretend I didn't have). Comfortable seats + ...
